Parenting classes provide an opportunity
for all in the community
to learn skills
that will help them
develop cooperation,
responsibility, and
self-esteem in their
children. Parents
also learn non-violent
positive discipline
techniques, and ways
to communicate effectively
with their children.
Our curriculums include:
Ready, Set Grow! A Prenatal Parenting Course
Nurturing your baby at the prenatal time
of development is one of the most important
things you can do to increase the chances
that your baby will grow in body, mind, and
character. In this class parents-to-be will
learn how to adopt a healthy life style,
celebrate and prepare for parenthood and
how to bond with their baby.
S.T.E.P. - Systematic
Training for Effective
Parenting
Parent will learn practical approaches to
using discipline
and communication
techniques
that provide a positive
relationship between
parents and their
children.
For parents of children ages
2-12 (conducted in
English and Spanish)
Breakthrough Parenting
Would you like to
replace the struggles
in
your family with
cooperation? This
is a 10-week
course designed to
increase your skills
and
knowledge as a parent
using discipline
to
teach resolving conflict
effectively, promoting
self-control vs.
parental control,
understanding
how children think
and having age-appropriate
expectations. For
parents of children
ages
2-12.
Back in Control
The whole family attends this class. A highly
effective parenting
skills training designed
to help children
change their behavior
even
if they are most
resistant to change.

high school
